Welcome to Clutter365!

2012 Goals

This is a new blog I’m starting February 1st 2012.

One of my goals for 2012 is to donate one thing a day.

I am not a clutterholic or hoarder.

But, like most people, more things come in to the house than go out.

And there’s a lot I don’t need.

So I made a commitment to clear one thing a day, every day for a year.

This is my way of recording that.

It will mostly be photos.

But I might be moved to write occasionally.

So if you’re interested in joining in or just following my progress, sign up for updates and let’s see where this takes us!

Follow me, tweet far and wide and sign up for the new Facebook page.

It should be a fun ride!

Let’s get this puppy (that should be kitten ;-) ) rollin’!

I am here because of Allie @ RWAHM.

Clutter is the enemy of us all, so I applaud your efforts. I keep an ongoing bag, and have been collecting things on at least a weekly basis. Then when it gets full, I donate it. I used to sell some things, but in order to get things out the door rather than keeping them around, I have been moving towards donating them instead.

Best of luck in your endeavors! :)

Thanks J-Lo. I’ve seen you over at Allie’s :-) I have the donation trucks already booked – you think I’m kidding but no. I like to keep the door revolving and I went to a rummage sale at the weekend. In with the new and all that…

I wish you lots of success. Remember decluttering is addictive, the more you do, the more you want to do. But with one thing a day you will notice the difference in a month.

Hi Tina! Thank you. I know, it is addictive, and so is going to rummage and garage sales, for me. :-) I need to make sure more goes out than comes in.

Alison–

What a great idea! I’m de-cluttering today, because we’re having weekend guests…if I committed to getting rid of one thing per day, I wouldn’t feel so overwhelmed today :( .

It’s a green, good and generous idea–clearing physical clutter is a great step for removing mental clutter.

Hi Linda: I am loving this blog. It really gets me going. Constantly surveying for my next thing. I have three days lined up already. I am a big believer in your last point – physical = mental clutter. Have a great clean-up!
